Methods: An 8 channel bipolar montage can ensure burst suppression or isoelectric activity for carotid endarterectomy, craniotomy for tumor removal, for aortic arch replacement before circulatory arrest, etc. Displayed raw as well as processed EEG, including CSA, DSA, and L/R asymmetry in order to detect any EEG slowing or asymmetry associated with vascular insufficiency.
